Lowlife 2090 - Creating a new character, Kid Sinister


 


CHARACTER CREATION.

 

Step 1 - Race = Human

I knew I wanted Kid Sinister to be a human so no random dice roll for race.

Step 2 - Class = ExArch

        I was torn between making Kid S either a Brawler, Exarch or Vex.  I decided to go with Exarch, it          just sounded more sinister.

Step 3 - Generate attributes.

One attribute starts at 15, for the remaining 6 attributes I roll 4d6 dropping the

lowest number.

7, 9, 11, 13, 14, 14, 15 plus the 15 above

One poor roll there, two are average and the rest are not too bad.  I can now

distribute them over the 7 attributes

Strength       : 14 (+1)

Dexterity       : 15 (+2)

Constitution : 14 (+1)

Intelligence  : 7 (-1)

Perception   : 13 (+1)

Willpower     : 15 (+2)

Charisma     : 9 (-)

Initiative        : 11 (-)

Initiative is dexterity + Intelligence / 2, this is Step 4

 

Step 5 - Hit Points = 4+14+1 = 19hp

That seems okay but bullets cause real damage in Lowlife 2090, even 19hp may

not be enough.

 

Step 6 - Luck =11, re-roll pool = 2 (for being Human)

 

Step 7 - Roll for contacts

Infiltrators start with 3 contacts, I roll 1d8 three times and get-

2 : Ganger catchphrase "Say again"

3 : Bounty Hunter catchphrase "how do you keep getting my number?"

8 : Org Crime Soldier (Yakuza)  catchphrase "tell me everything"

 

I really like those, especially the Bounty hunter


  Step 8 - roll for Augmentations  

Exarch characters skip this step

 

Step 9 - bonus languages = 0 (English)

Although Kid S gets  a -1 mod because of his very low Intelligence score, he can still speak                   English.

 

Step 10 Choose Skills - Acrobatics & Knowledge (magic) plus six more

Athletics, Deception, Electronics, Persuasion, Stealth, Survival.

 

Step 11 - Choose class abilities number of talents = dexterity modifier so 2

Sense Magic

Imbuements -

    Moon Shield Sun, Weapon Binding, Fire Blood

 

 

Step 12 - Add class GEAR pack

 

Kevlar Jacket, Sword, Saab Enforcer heavy

pistol (2 x mags reg ammo), Cell (Hon Hai

Echo, Sys 10), Fake ID, 2 x Knives, and ₵50.

 

Step 13 - Turning Point = Left for Dead

     Address = Foundry Bay
     Living Standard = Low

 

Step 14 & 15 Background & Name

 

Name :  Kid Sinister

Background : Enforcer

 

           Your family were murdered by corporate assassins. You were left for dead, but

           survived by cosmic fate. If the corp learns of your survival, they’re sure to want to finish the                   job. But this time you’ll be ready for them.


 Kid Sinister hangs out at Nero's Nook, a bar n' grill in Foundry Bay with

Weasel, Shona and Rook.  

Kid S as his friends call him, grew up on the street and the only life he has known is one of

petty crime and just scraping by.

Kid S shares his life with his long time and only true friend Weasel but he

is close to and has a soft spot for Rook the Mage and this is the cause of some jealousy towards

 the mage from Weasel.

Nero tolerates Weasel and Kid because of Shona, who sings at his bar.  He

knows Weasel and Kid have come to the attention of some of the

ganger's round Nero's Nook, and not in a good way and that tolerance is being

stretched to breaking point.
